JMCP Enterprise, LLC

Jovany.jpg

Since Jovany was a child, he has always been an independent person with an entrepreneurial mindset. In elementary school, he entered and won an entrepreneurship contest the district held called, "What's Your Big Idea?". His passion has always been cars and he wanted his business to be automotive-based. Jovany worked hard to save his money and educate himself. While in high school, he started working at an automotive body shop. After high school, he continued his studies at Tarrant County College. He also worked part-time as an automotive painter. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jovany began to realize his dream when he discovered a small body shop that was going out of business. Jovany made the decision to purchase the business.

Jovany started working with the Tarrant SBDC in October of 2022. He needed to learn more about the financial management side of running his business. Kemmiko Grant, a Tarrant SBDC Business Advisor, helped Jovany understand his P&L and Income Statements. This helped him identify unnecessary expenses. Additionally, Kemmiko introduced Jovany to a CDC funder and he was approved for a $91K SBA loan, which assisted with cash flow and equipment purchases. He later received another round of venture capital funding in the amount of $112K. JMCP Enterprises has seen steady growth in sales, from $18K in 2020, to $250K in 2021, to over $447K in 2022.

"I'm still not where I want to be, but with continued sales growth and assistance

from the SBDC, I see a healthy financial future for my company."
