Gustavo Lasala, PeopleFund’s President and CEO is a seasoned microfinance practitioner whose career includes leadership roles in organizations that are exemplars in financial inclusion in the US, both in the non-profit and for-profit arenas. He was instrumental in helping ACCION Texas (now LiftFund), Opportunity Fund and Oportun achieve leading positions at a national level. He is co-founder of Listo, a startup delivering financial products to underserved communities in California. A CDFI industry-veteran Gustavo is Member of Capital One Community Advisory Council, the Board of Directors of Association for Enterprise Opportunity (AEO) and the Board of Directors of Austin Chamber of Commerce. Gustavo has served on several other boards including Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) and Foundation for Women. He has participated in industry panels for the Federal Reserve of Dallas, Microfinance California, TACDC, OFN and AEO. Earlier in his career, he worked for national and international organizations in Latin America. He holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
