An Opportunity To PRESENT YOUR INNOVATION to the Department of Defense & Other Federal Agencies

Six Regional / Three Functional Service Commands
Six Regional / Three Functional Service Commands

Nine Combatant Commands exist for The US Department of Defense, with six being identified as sectionalized regions across the globe. All the U.S. Armed Forces report to their regional Command in order to create a coordination of the Armed Forces. The remaining three Commands are Functional Commands, servicing the six regional Commands. Example: Transportation Command, TRANSCOM, is charged with the responsibility of coordinating all transportation for the U.S. Armed Forces.

The Department of Defense continues to try to outpace the enemy when it comes to technology. With the enemy always trying to attack, the enemy’s capability to excel in technology innovation can be very detrimental to our country and to our people in uniform. As we continue to innovate, the speed of innovation is now such that the entire history of innovation doubles in about one year. This velocity of innovation is much greater than any bureaucracy’s capability.

Don't Miss This Funding Opportunity Worth $$ Billions

No Cost to Apply!

DOD Technology Scouts hope to find innovative solutions to immediate needs, no matter where they come from. They also seek a broader range of innovations that will resolve operational challenges or save costs. This event is not limited to warfighter technologies. If you have an innovative product that can assist the federal government in medical, cyber, operations, and power and energy industries, this event is for you!

Step 1: Understand Needs

Read and understand the Combat Command Common Needs.

Step 2: Match Your Technology to A Need

If you have a technology that you believe meets one or more of these needs, it may be advisable for you to proceed to take advantage of this opportunity.

Step 3: Assess The Technology's Readiness

There are nine defined levels of technology readiness for deployment, from one to nine. In order to be of interest to these Technology Scouts for near-term deployment, your technology should be at or above Readiness Level 6. The TCC can help you assess this level. View the DOD technology readiness levels here.

Step 4: Get Ready to Apply

If you seek to apply to pitch, you will find an Application Outline that will help you to prepare for the online application. The TCC can help you answer the questions in the Application Outline in a form that will best increase your chances of being selected to present.

Step 5: Apply for Pitch and Poster Presentations

The application deadline has been extended to August 9 for Pitch opportunities and Poster Presentation opportunities, wherein you can show your technology, describe it to Tech Scouts and, most importantly, learn more about what technology requirements and desires exist and how your innovation might fit.

Applications received by midnight on July 28th will be given special consideration. The second round of applications will be accepted up through August 28th and will be selected based on space available and the needs of the Department of Defense.

Register and Attend

Early Bird Registration opportunity closes on August 30. You must pay before this date to qualify for the discounted price.
